About the Bride:
I'm 31 years old (will be 32 when we get married) and live in Brooklyn Park with Matt and our sweet, baby girl Journey (she's a Boxer).

I earned a Masters in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from St. Cloud State in 2008.  I work as a Placement Specialist, from home, with a great private rehab company.

I am super close to my family and see them all of the time....I live within a mile of my mom, dad/step-mom, and most of my siblings. They are the BEST!

Matt and I have been together for about 2 1/2 years.  We actually graduated from High School together, but never knew each other - it was a large high school!

Matt and I purchased our first home together July 31, 2009 and have spent a lot of time making it our own.  We adopted Journey this past January and she truly makes our home complete.

I love to be outdoors; gardening, biking, walking, playing softball, grilling, bonfires or whatever.  I also enjoy working out, boxing and entertaining family and friends and planning parties...so planning our wedding is very exciting!!

That's me in a nutshell!!

About the Groom:
Matt is 32 and works at Best Buy corporate as a financial analyst.  He is a MN Gopher (U of M alum) and loves his sports.

Matt's parents and brother live in Brooklyn Park as well, and we get together frequently.  Matt had never really been around small children before, so he has gained a lot of experience hanging out with my family and everyone loves him.  He'll be a good daddy (other than to our puppy dog) someday, which is very important to me.

How we met:
Long story, but basically through our 10 year high school reunion website - which he didn't attend!

Our first date was on February 1, 2008.  Matt took me to a Timberwolves game (I had to pretend I liked basketball) and we've been together ever since!

The night he proposed...

It started with what I thought was just a regular ol' Wednesday "date night" at Seven in downtown Minneapolis. I was kind of surprised when Matt asked me if I wanted to go there on Wednesday for dinner, but he said it was supposed to me nice out and maybe we could have a nice evening on their roof...so I didn't think anymore about it.  We went there for dinner the first time in February for our 2 year anniversary and loved the food.

After a fabulous dinner I was kind of surprised when the waiter asked us if we wanted to have dessert on their rooftop patio. While the maitre d' took us upstairs on the elevator, he was describing a new dessert they had, so I couldn't wait to see the dessert menu!  We went upstairs and were seated at a private couch on the busy patio; it was a beautiful summer night.  They brought us our drinks and before I could even have two sips the waitress came with a beautiful dessert (I was thinking - hey I didn't see the menu yet!?) I saw my ring on top of it, but it didn't register...until Matt got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!  Cheers, tears, champagne and applause followed...Wow, I didn't know that was coming! There was a small band playing and they dedicated a song to us.  It was all so surreal and perfect...and of course I said yes!  It was a beautiful and unforgettable night!
